COMMUNITY

We are passionate about equality, inclusivity and opportunity.

CLOS is proud to partner with the below businesses and organisations, creating job opportunities for the disadvantaged and disabled:

  • MONASH UNI - CLOS has partnered with Monash University's Future Building Initiative to discuss waste tracking, reduction and material efficiency in prefabrication.

  • SUSTAINABILITY VICTORIA

  • GROW - Part of our CLOS GROW Action plan was to work closely with Northern Futures and the Gordon Tafe to build a program of employment opportunities to be linked to GROW target communities. This meant looking to give students work exposure to construction after their studies.

  • NORTHERN FUTURES - CLOS is committed to incorporating employment opportunities with Northern Futures Ltd  for disadvantaged jobseekers. The range of employment and training opportunities offered through this program of work will go some way to addressing the wider social challenges impacting the community including long term unemployment, building a locally based skilled workforce, generating long term career and training pathways for youth and integrating new arrivals into the community.

  • HEADSTART - CLOS is proud to offer apprenticeships and traineeships through the Head Start program. Head Start supports students in years 10-12 to connect with employers and begin a school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (SBAT)

  • MATCHWORKS - Matchworks is a disability employment service, connecting potential employees that experience injury, disability or health conditions with employers.

If you would like to connect with us about job opportunities, please email info@clos.com.au.

SUSTAINABILITY GRANT & OUR GLULAM LINE

CLOS is committed to engineering a reputably sustainable process. CLOS has invested in a GluLam Line (GLL).

This machinery maximises recycling and sustainability by creating beams out of otherwise wasted timber offcuts. This has assisted CLOS in achieving our Sustainability Victoria Grant and forming an education/working relationship with Monash University focusing on sustainability.

CLOS will show other construction companies how its offsite construction method reduces structural build time by 50 per cent, overall build time by 25 per cent and waste materials by an estimated 50 per cent, compared to traditional onsite methods.
